3 Days Murchison Falls Safari

This 3 days Murchison falls safari is a few day wildlife exploration to Uganda’s largest national park which harbors a number of unique birds and animals. This tour includes several amazing activities such as a boat cruise from the bottom of the falls, game drives to spot animals like Uganda Kobs, Giraffes, Buffaloes, elephants, antelopes and lions among others. As you head to Murchison Falls National Park, you will make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to see the white rhinos. By the end of this trip, you will probably have encountered the Big 5 Animals of Africa.

This safari also includes a hike to the top of the falls to witness their strength. While at the top of the Murchison Falls, travelers will have an opportunity of viewing big numbers of birds and animals right in their habitats.

Detailed 3 days Murchison falls safari itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to Murchison falls national park

Wake up very early for a morning breakfast at your hotel and then meet our driver/guide. He will start by briefing you about whatever you will be doing in this 3 days wildlife safari. You will depart and drive for about 3 to 4 hours and stop over at The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

While at Ziwa, you will have a chance to spot the white rhinos, unique bird species and other wildlife species. You will then continue with your journey through Masindi town and branch off and have lunch at any desired restaurant. Then head to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you will start by checking in your hotel and relax.

Day 2: Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls

You will start this beautiful morning with a quick breakfast and then set off at around 6:30am to Nyamsika plateau for your first game drive. During this game drive, you should expect to encounter animals such as leopards, elephants, lions, giraffes, bush bucks and big herds of buffaloes. Immediately after the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for refreshments and later on have a delicious lunch. You will then go for an afternoon boat cruise at Paraa along the Nile to the bottom of the Murchison falls. As you ride in the boat, you will have a chance to spot a wide range of wildlife species refreshing in the waters of the Nile.

Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala

Today will be your last day of the 3 days Murchison Falls Safari and it will start with a morning breakfast and then a game drive as early as 6:30. Beginning the game drive at this time will help to increase your chances of spotting nocturnal animals before they go back to rest. You are likely to encounter hunter animals lions, leopards, jackals and hyenas. You will also spot giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, bushbucks and many more.

After the game drive, you will head back to the hotel to check out and embark on your journey back to Kampala. On your way, you will branch off in Migeera Town for lunch then continue with your journey.
